Telecar, an automatic document and parcel trolley system

Several types of technologies exist within the world of logistics. However, most of those technologies are systems or programs that help support the function or operation of machinery. Today, we want to tell you about a technology that has resulted in a new revolutionary way of transporting documents in an office.

The technology is known as TELECAR, an automatic document and parcel trolley system via a single track. Companies can choose to install straight or curved aluminum tracks, as well as additional transfer switches which will allow the Telecars to travel in all directions – vertically, horizontally, forward or backward. The cars are powered by 24 VDC and controlled by the noiseless microprocessor. Transporting documents between floors or even buildings is a breeze, thanks to TELECAR. The technology was developed by an American company.

In Thailand, the TELECAR system has been installed at the Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathobodi Hospital, with 34 stations. The highly efficient TELECAR system surprisingly does not come with a huge price tag. More and more hospitals as well as banks are beginning to install the system as the TELECAR technology helps save operating costs including electricity bills from elevator usage and wages for employees. Moreover, the system helps save time spent to physically transport the documents as it can speedily, safely and securely deliver important documents such as letters, folders, receipts and books.
