Google Maps to feature real-time public transit updates

With continuous developments of new innovations, Google has recently introduced a new feature for Google Maps that will display real-time public transit in San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Budapest, the Netherlands and the UK. The new service is capable of telling passengers whether the bus they’re waiting for is going to be on time. Google has partnered with more than 6,000 public transport service providers to make this a reality.

Google said that the live public transit updates are available in 18,000 cities in 64 countries around the world. The service pulls live data from 2.5 million train stations, bus stops and ports, making travel planning easier and allowing people to be on time.

We are confident that Google will soon roll out this service in more towns and cities across the globe, as the company is known for its innovation excellence.
